Her short documentary Fugetsu-Do, an intimate portrait of a Japanese sweet shop that been a subtle landmark at the heart of Downtown LA for well over a century, has screened at over 70 film festivals globally and accumulated more than 20 awards. She is the creator and director of Climate Countdown, an award-winning web-series that maps out the ecology of climate solutions, and as a freelance filmmaker has created hundreds of videos that promote climate awareness and action. Kaia is a filmmaker dedicated to meaningful and curious storytelling currently based in Washington DC and working primarily as the Multimedia Content Lead at Connect4Climate - World Bank Group.
